The Women’s Reservation Bill Becomes Law After Presidential Approval
The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam officially became law in India after receiving approval from President Droupadi Murmu. The law mandates reserving 33 per cent of seats for women in both the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. The Parliament passed the women’s reservation bill earlier this month. However, the law’s implementation will be delayed until after the census and delimitation processes.
