Mathruyanam Scheme Now Operational in All Government Hospitals in Kerala

The Mathruyanam scheme, offering free rides for new mothers and babies after delivery, is now operational in all government hospitals in Kerala where deliveries occur. The scheme is now active in 101 government hospitals, including 9 medical colleges, 41 district hospitals, general hospitals, women’s and children’s hospitals, 50 taluk hospitals, and one community health centre.

All families, regardless of their BPL or APL classification, can access the benefits of the schemes. The scheme aims to assist families in managing expenses related to the journey back home after delivery, particularly when it involves a long distance.
