India’s hockey team has made their nation proud by clinching the championship title at the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2023 held in Kakamigahara, Japan. This remarkable victory signifies a historic milestone for India as they claim their maiden Women’s Junior Asia Cup triumph.

In an intense showdown, India went head-to-head against the Republic of Korea for the coveted title. The Indian team netted two remarkable goals during the match.

Annu struck first at the 21-minute mark, followed by Neelam’s impressive goal at the 40-minute mark. The Republic of Korea found the back of the net once, with Seoyeon Park scoring a goal at the 24-minute mark.

India has already procured a place in the highly anticipated FIH Women’s Junior World Cup 2023, set to take place in Chile. As the Indian team prepares to go head-to-head against the world’s finest junior hockey teams in this global event, anticipation is high for them to script yet another historical chapter.
