A Shocking Revelation About Cancer Deaths Among Indian Women

A new Lancet Commission report, titled “Women, Power, and Cancer,” reveals that among Indian women, 63% of cancer deaths could have been prevented with timely care, and 37% could have been treated successfully. Around 6.9 million women’s cancer deaths could have been avoided, with 4.03 million cured through prompt treatment. The report highlights societal ignorance and subpar primary care as barriers to women’s cancer treatment.
