2022-23 Witnesses a 37% Surge in India’s Female Workforce

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted a notable rise in female workforce participation, hitting 37% in 2022–23 from 23% in 2017–18. ‘ Stressing societal advancement, he lauded increased female engagement. He emphasised re-skilling and upskilling working women’s skills to navigate evolving technologies adeptly. Unemployment dipped to 3.7% in 2022–23 from 6% in 2017–18, affirming a positive trajectory in workforce statistics and employment.
