Sleep Inadequacy Linked To Hypertension in Women

A recent study in the Journal of Hypertension suggests insufficient sleep raises hypertension risk in women. Those sleeping less than 7-8 hours per night face a heightened hypertension risk. Women with sleep problems tend to have a higher BMI, lower physical activity, poorer diets, and a higher probability of engaging in smoking and alcohol consumption. Additionally, some may have already gone through menopause.
