Qualcomm India Announces Partnership With WEP to Support 8 Women-Led Startups

Qualcomm India has joined forces with the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) to support eight technology startups that women founded.

As part of the initiative, a carefully chosen group of startups will be offered mentorship and guidance by industry experts. Furthermore, they can participate in masterclasses covering essential subjects like intellectual property (IP) and marketing. Notably, this will mark the third cohort to benefit from this program.

Since its inception in 2020, the Qualcomm Women Entrepreneurs India Network has been instrumental in empowering 25 early-stage startups led by women. The NITI Aayog developed the WEP, which is currently operating as a public-private partnership with its very own governance system.

This program is designed to assist women innovating in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to help them succeed in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

This initiative offers more than just lessons. This opportunity allows for learning from experienced mentors and industry experts. The third cohort will have an opportunity to enhance their visibility within the startup community through a meticulously curated presentation day.

Moreover, they will have the privilege of connecting with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, investors, venture capitalists, accelerators, and industry associations.

It is commendable to see Qualcomm India and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) working together to help female-led technology startups in India. Their collaborative effort will positively impact the advancement of women entrepreneurs in India’s technology industry.
