2,799 Job Openings Exclusively for Women as Constables in the Central Armed Police Forces

There is a massive opportunity for women to join the Central Armed Police Forces under the Recruitment Scheme created by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the MHA and the Staff Selection Commission. 

The Staff Selection Commission will be holding an open competition to hire new Constables (General Duty) for different forces like the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman positions for General Duty in Assam Rifles (AR).

Of the 26,146 job vacancies, 2,799 are specifically set aside for women. Breaking down the female category across various forces:

  • Border Security Force (BSF): Out of the 6,174 total vacancies, 963 are exclusively reserved for women.
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): Among the 11,025 openings, 1,112 are specifically designated for female candidates.
  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): Within the overall 3,337 vacancies, 71 positions are set aside for women.
  • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): Out of the 635 vacancies, 42 are exclusively earmarked for female candidates.
  • Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): Among the total 3,189 vacancies, 495 are specifically for female candidates.
  • Assam Rifles (AR): Of the 1,490 vacancies, 42 are reserved for women.
  • Secretariat Security Force (SSF): Within the total 296 vacancies, 74 positions are specifically designated for female candidates

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have successfully finished their Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from an accredited Board or University.

Nationality/ Citizenship: Candidates should be Indian citizens. For vacancies in CAPFs & AR, it’s important to submit proof of residence (domicile/PRC) for their respective state/UT, as the positions are allocated based on state/UT/area.

Here are the crucial timelines for the application process:

  •  Online Application Submission: November 24, 2023, through December 31, 2023.
  • Last Date and Time for Online Applications: December 31, 2023, by 23:00.
  • The Deadline for Online Fee Payment: January 1, 2024, by 23:00.
  • Application Form Correction Period and Online Correction Fee Payment Window: January 4, 2024, to January 6, 2024, by 23:00.
  • Schedule of Computer-Based Examination: February-March 2024.
